In 1963 the three former Methodist Societies in the village amalgamated and in 1970 the new church premises in Church Hill Road were opened. The building only consisted of the sanctuary and ancillary rooms; it was not until 1978 that the rear sports hall was erected which made the centre complete. Our church is its people – a worshipping, praying and active group of Christians from diverse backgrounds who meet, worship and work together in the Methodist tradition, for the benefit of the society and the community in which we live. Everyone is welcome to share in our Sunday Worship Services, our Midweek Services and any of the mid-week groups/meetings.

Our Mission Statement:
WORSHIP – As we explore traditional, new and different ways of worship we seek to celebrate God’s love, shown to us through Jesus, in ways which allow the whole church family to participate.
LEARNING – We seek to develop our spiritual growth, through prayer and fellowship, and to provide opportunities for people to explore the Christian faith.
SERVICE – We seek to value and care for people of all ages and to encourage them to become involved in the full fellowship of the church. We also seek to provide well-maintained premises – both for the use of the church and the community.
MISSION– We seek to live out the Gospel of Jesus and to support Christian Mission, both at home and overseas. We continue to work for peace and justice and to be good stewards of God’s creation. We express our Christian Social Responsibility in response to human need. Our church is part of the Loughborough Methodist Circuit and a member of “Churches Together in Mountsorrel” which promotes ecumenical activities and seeks to strengthen our links with the other churches in Mountsorrel.
Worship:
We meet to worship God and to celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, on most Sundays at 10.30am; occasionally we unite with other churches for services arranged by Churches Together in Mountsorrel.
We encompass the Methodist tradition of “Singing Our Faith” as part of our worship services.
Our services are either led by one of our Ministers or by one of our circuit’s Local Preachers but we arrange specially themed services, with guest preachers, for certain times of the year.
Communion Services are arranged for certain Sundays throughout the year.
Refreshments are served after each service; this gives us the opportunity to continue sharing our faith in fellowship with each other.

Mondays – from 6pm – Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association (open to girls and boys aged 5 – 18) – Anchor, Junior & Company Sections
